Description
Windows Vista has an auto-tuning feature for network components which can cause connection issues.
You can turn off the network auto-tuning feature to test if it is causing connection problems.
Solution
Use the steps below to disable the network auto-tuning feature:
- Click on Start, select Run, type CMD, and click OK.
- At the C:\> prompt, type the command below and press ENTER:
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
If disabling network auto-tuning does not resolve the connection issue, use the steps below to re-enable it:
- Click on Start, select Run, type CMD, and click OK.
- At the C:\> prompt, type the command below and press ENTER:
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
