How to recover your McAfee My Account password

Issue Description

If you are using a McAfee Subscription service, you already have a login and password. To retrieve the information, follow the steps below.


  1. Go to the McAfee homepage at http://home.mcafee.com/.
  2. Click Log In.
  3. Click Forgot Your Password?
  4. Type your registered email address and click Send Email.
Your password will be emailed to you momentarily. Ensure McAfee is on your safe senders list, or the password recovery email might be sent to your spam folder by mistake.

Forgotten email address
If you have changed your email address after you registered your McAfee software, try logging in by using your old email address and old password, then clicking My Profile and updating your email information.

If you cannot remember the email address you registered with, you can contact Customer Service by Chat or Phone.
