How to remove Norton's Security Suites


Environment

Affected Suites:
All McAfee products

Affected Operating Systems:
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7

NOTE: If you are unsure what version of the McAfee Security software you have installed, please see article TS101107.

Summary

Norton's Security applications are not compatible with McAfee Security Applications. The Norton's security software must be removed. If normal uninstall procedures fail use the removal tool provided by Symantec.

Solution

Norton Security applications are not compatible with McAfee Security software and must be removed. Follow the instructions in the link below to completely remove any Norton's security applications from 2003 to present Norton products (including Norton AntiVirus, Internet Security and 360 product suites).
