Problem

Some McAfee customers may experience slow downloads when installing McAfee Security products. In some cases, the download fails and an error similar to the following is displayed:

Unable to Continue Installation
We're having trouble completing your McAfee software installation because of this error: 12152.

Cause

The 12152 error usually refers to a generic network problem which has caused your download to disconnect or fail. Wait a few minutes and try your download again.

If you are still unable to download and install, it is possible the McAfee download is being blocked by a previously installed, incompatible third-party product.

Solution 1

Verify that your Internet connection is functioning and try your install again. If you have third-party security products installed, uninstall them. For a complete list of incompatible third party security products, see TS101083.

Attempt your McAfee product install again. If the issue persists, continue to the next Solution.
